For over thirty-five (35) years, Joe has served the healthcare industry in facilities leadership roles including at the executive level for facilities in Ohio, Florida, Colorado, and Kentucky. Most recently, Joe has been Senior Director of System Facilities for Owensboro Health, Inc, Owensboro, KY and is now retired after fifteen (15) years of continuous service.
Joe received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and his Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from The Ohio State University. He is a Legacy Board Certified Fellow with the American College of Healthcare Executives (LFACHE), a retired SASHE/Senior designee with the American Society for Health Care Engineering (ASHE), and a Certified Healthcare Facilities Manager (CHFM).
He is a past-president of ASHE’s Kentucky affiliate the Kentucky Society for Healthcare Engineers (KSHE), has served on its board for thirteen (13) years, and still serves on its Board today.
Joe has been a member of the FGI’s Health Guidelines Revision Committee, and has served on multiple ASHE committees and taskforces. Healthcare Leadership – taking care of patients – has been his life’s work and passion for over forty-five (45) years.
Faith and family are most important for Joe. He is approaching his 34th wedding anniversary and is father to six children and grandfather to five. He is an advisory board member for the Healthcare Facilities Leadership program at the Owensboro Community and Technical College (OCTC), and is chairman of the board with the OCTC Foundation.
Joe is an Eagle Scout and served as a scout master while his sons were involved with Scouting.
